Been a while hasn’t it?  My apologies for the lack of updates, but rest assured work is still underway.  I’ll try to be a bit better about updating, but in the meantime, here is Page 1.

Another look at some early sketches.

Ten Shoes Dancing

Ten Shoes was the trickier of the two main characters for me, getting the right combination of Oxford-schooled intellectual, all around smooth gentleman +  Sioux-medicine man together.  He ended up a little different than he is here.

I felt pretty comfortable with Kid though right off the bat,  he  didn’t change too much from his first sketches,  just wears some different threads.

Alright, first up for the New Year is a little bit of imagery. When Michael first came on as the artist for this book, he sent me a few sketches and a few layouts. This was one of the first.

It is always a strange moment when you first see a character that’s haunted the interior of your skull embodied the first time.  But when it’s perfect, it’s perfect.
